Jacobo Morales is a Puerto Rican actor, writer, producer, and director. Born on January 3, 1934, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he is considered one of the most important figures in Puerto Rican cinema and theater.
Morales began his career as a theater actor and director before transitioning to film. He has directed several critically acclaimed and commercially successful films, including "Lo que le pasó a Santiago" (1989), "Angel" (2007), and "Santa Claus in commotion" (2004).
In addition to his work in film, Morales is also well-known for his television work, having created and directed a number of popular television shows in Puerto Rico.
Morales has received numerous awards for his work, including the National Prize of Culture in Puerto Rico and the Ace Award for Best Actor. He continues to be active in the Puerto Rican film industry, both as a filmmaker and an advocate for the development of local cinema.
